After a bomb threat was received at a west Pearland day care for the second time in a week, investigators report a juvenile suspect has been identified in connection with both incidents.
Just before 8 a.m. Wednesday (July 30), police were dispatched to the Children’s Learning Adventure Daycare at 10001 West Broadway. After the building was evacuated and checked for explosives, officers gave the all-clear signal and students and teachers were allowed to return to the school.
A juvenile suspect, who police report is under 10 years-old, was located and identified. Although the first bomb threat reported on July 23rd is still under investigation, investigators believed that the two incidents are related.
Under Texas law, a juvenile under 10 years-old is not deemed criminally responsible and can face no criminal charges. Police also report the suspect’s parent was located at a Pearland residence. No charges will be filed, officials said.
