The Brazoria County of Texas Master Naturalist December meeting notes

12-14-16_2092_edited-2-1The Brazoria County Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist held its December meeting at the AgriLife building in Angleton on the 15th. Members recertifying for 2016 include Elaine Crews, Marlies Greenwood, Rainbo Johnson, Christina Hartman, Mary Helen Israel and David Plunkett. Two members reached volunteer hour mile stones: Marlies Greenwood, 250 hours, and Rainbo Johnson, 1,000 hours..The membership was reminded the Christmas bird counts are now underway with the San Bernard bird count taking place December 16th. and the 2017 intern class was filling up. Several board members are retiring from the board after serving on the board from 1 to 12 years. Retiring members are: Jean Britt, secretary: Mike Mullins, past president and Jerry Eppner, membership. The newly elected Executive board include: Kristine Rivers, president: Jill Carroll, vice president: Don Sabathier, treasurer, and Lisa Myers, secretary. The remaining board appointees will be announced at the January meeting.
