Construction of the Sports Complex at Shadow Creek Ranch is almost complete and the complex will open soon. To kick it off, adult kickball and adult softball spring leagues are being offered and residents can sign up now.
The $10.1 million facility includes amenities such as lighted softball/baseball fields, turf field, volleyball courts, a playground paved walking paths, covered pavilion, concessions and an amphitheater.
The 65-acre park will provide an opportunity for Pearland to host regional, statewide and national athletic contests and tournaments for a variety of sports. It also has the capacity to host multiple tournaments/events simultaneously. It is the first of its kind for the City of Pearland and Parks & Recreation Department as an athletic provider.
Field lighting, HVAC installation, pavilion and playground installation, turf placement and perimeter fencing and bleachers were completed in previous months along with the installation of a traffic signal at Trinity Bay and FM 2234.
