Grapevine Public Library is one of a kind: First sensory-inclusive certified library in Texas

Libraries are supposed to be quiet places, but the Grapevine Public Library has done something that speaks volumes.

Earlier this summer the library became the first sensory-inclusive certified library in Texas. “We’re hoping more join us, ’cause it’s really a great thing to do,” said Grapevine library director Ruth Chiego.

It’s also quite necessary. One in six Americans has a sensory need.

That means, sometimes, being in public places like the library can be overwhelming.

Pearland Autism Center Open House Nov 15

Trumpet Behavioral Health is pleased to announce November 15th as the official date of our Pearland Autism Center Open House. This event will take place from 12:30p – 4p, immediately following our Toilet Training Workshop.

During the Open House, we will provide a variety of activities for children while our Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Sarah Veazey, provides tours and educational information. Feel free to contact us in advance if you have any specific questions about our services or programming.
