Suzanne Hanneman is proud to announce her candidacy for Brazoria
County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, Place 1, in the March 1, 2016 Republican Primary.
Hanneman graduated from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law and became a licensed attorney in 1997.
She began her career as a civil attorney, but began working with law enforcement in 2000 as an Assistant City Attorney in Houston. In 2002, Hannenman received the Edward A. Cezares Award for Excellence and Professionalism in Municipal Law.
In 2003, Hanneman continued her career as an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County.
She has handled thousands of cases, from truancy and misdemeanor cases in Justice of the Peace Courts to murders, sexual assaults and large quantity drug cases in felony District Courts.
Hanneman worked in the Asset Forfeiture Division for almost six years, helping recover over $2 million of illegally obtained proceeds.
Currently, Hanneman serves in the Public Service Bureau, screening and interviewing possible intern candidates and conducting criminal background investigations, as well as processing civil and criminal expunctions.
Hanneman and husband Jeffrey have resided in Pearland since 2001. They are the parents of 10 year-old twins, Jackson and Chloe, who attend Rogers Middle School in Pearland ISD.
Hanneman is a member of the Silverlake Lions Club, the Women in Leadership Society and is on the Board of the Adult Reading Center in Pearland.
