PRESS RELEASE
On Saturday, January 10, Vivian Guerrero was experiencing pain in her stomach. “I was only 33 weeks pregnant and didn’t think I was in labor. I wanted to get pain medication from an after-hours clinic. My husband, Julio encouraged me to visit a hospital and my hospital was in West Houston,” said Vivian. “Julio is a Pearland police officer and works an extra job at Pearland Medical Center and he assured me PMC was where we needed to go.”
Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the couple welcomed their first child who was delivered via C-section by Dr. Diana Duff, OB/GYN. Gianna Nicole weighed in at 4 lb 3 oz. and will remain at Pearland Medical Center in the neonatal intensive care unit for the next few weeks.
“Dr. Duff, the nurses and entire staff have taken great care of us. I feel my family has been blessed to start our family at PMC. I joke with my husband that Gianni is already a daddy’s girl and wanted to be with daddy so bad she came early just so that she can go to work with him at Pearland Medical Center.”
The couple lives in Pearland where they serve the community as police officers in the Pearland area.
