The Carroll ISD school board announced on Nov. 5 that they are taking actions to address a controversial video posted recently on social media in which CISD students can be seen and heard using a racial slur.
The video was posted Oct. 26, board Vice President Michelle Moore said. The school district held a special meeting Friday during which community members shared their experiences and thoughts regarding the issue with a packed boardroom.
CISD leaders have developed a cultural competence action plan to provide education and promote tolerance.
