New Uber-like service drives into Dallas with safe rides for kids

School drop-off, pickup, and all of the activities in between can be a challenge for busy families to navigate.

Enter HopSkipDrive. Part Uber, part carpool, the service launched in Dallas on September 30, billing itself as a safe and innovative transportation solution for both families and schools. It’s already working with more than 170 schools and districts nationwide in cities in Arizona; California; Colorado; Virginia; and Washington, D.C., and made its Texas debut in Houston last month.
