The Grapevine Police Department wants to update everyone about a fight that occurred last week at one of our lake parks.
Several videos surfaced after the incident, showing one of the participants on the ground during the melee. Rumors about his injuries began to spread on social media, and we wanted to check on his welfare.
We have identified the 22-year-old man seen in the video, and have confirmed that he is okay. We appreciate everyone who came forward with videos and tips, and are grateful to have such an involved community that cares about the people we serve.
Our detectives worked incessantly to identify the 22-year-old man. On more than one occasion, witnesses and known involved parties refused to identify him so we could check his welfare. It shows the high level of dedication and professionalism that detectives continued their efforts until they knew for certain the man was fine.
