MAIN STREET CLOSURE today – July 21

TEXRail has implemented a full closure on Main Street between Dallas Road and Hudgins Street for necessary median work. TEXRail anticipates their work will be completed by (end of day) Saturday, July 21. The Chill Sports Bar & Grill parking lot remains accessible.

SH 121 shoulder to be widened: Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake transportation projects taking place in July

There are four transportation projects taking place in Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake this month:

  • SH 121 shoulder widening
  • FM 1938/Davis Boulevard expansion, Phase 2
  • FM 2499/Gerault Road and drainage improvement
  • N. White Chapel Boulevard widening

Full lane closure scheduled at Brumlow Avenue, July 6-21

Beginning Friday, July 6, Brumlow Avenue in Southlake is planned to be fully closed to traffic.

TexRail’s construction team will be implementing a full lane closure for the construction and installation of a rail crossing, and utility and paving improvements near the intersection of Hwy. 26.

The road is expected to remain closed through July 21 due to the construction.

SH 26 in Colleyville to move to new construction phase months ahead of schedule

SH 26 in Colleyville is moving to its next phase of construction months ahead of schedule, Colleyville City Council said at its meeting July 2.

Area Texas Department of Transportation Engineer Minh Tran said that while Phase 2 is ongoing, Phase 2 and Phase 3 will overlap to avoid heavy traffic periods while school is in session.

“This is really good news,” Mayor Richard Newton said.

Colleyville launches its next phase of business promotion as SH 26 construction continues

Called the Quarter 3 Promotion, the city has mailed $10 gift cards to every residence within city limits. The gift cards are to be used when shopping locally. To use the gift card, an individual has to provide it to any participating Colleyville business, and it will be applied toward the purchase.

TRAFFIC ALERT

Tomorrow, March 11, the turn-around under Beltway 8 on the east side of Mykawa and the railroad tracks will be closed. This is the turn-around that is accessed from Telephone Rd. This will not affect access to the Beltway or the Frontage road over Mykawa and the railroad tracks. A detour will be setup for those needing the turnaround that will take them over the frontage road (west bound), under Wayside, and back over the frontage road (east bound). This closure will take place from about 8:00 am until 6 p.m.

This Weekend’s I-45 Closures

TXDOT RELEASE

Work continues to progress on the $93 million construction project on I-45 Gulf Freeway from  FM 2351 to Medical Center Blvd.  Beginning this weekend there will be several closures along this portion of the corridor including a total closure from Bay Area Blvd. to El Dorado Blvd. The closures are necessary for the contractor to shift traffic onto the new northbound mainlanes.

The following closures will take place Friday, October 2 beginning at 8 p.m. thru Monday, October 5 at 5 a.m.:

  • Total Closure of I-45 Gulf Freeway northbound from Bay Area Blvd. to El Dorado Blvd.  Traffic will need to detour to Bay Area Blvd. and re-enter at El Dorado.
  • Two outside northbound mainlanes from El Dorado Blvd. to FM 1959/Dixie Farm Rd.

Motorists should expect heavy delays and are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes.
