Pearland’s Newest Art Studio to Hold Ribbon Cutting May 26

AKKLogoKelly Kronfeld, Artist and Founder of Art & Kustom Kreations and Chris Garcia, Artist and Studio Director; Katie Jackson, Resident Artist and Studio Manager; and Alexa Marie, Resident Artist and Studio Assistant are pleased to announce the ribbon cutting of this unique art studio AND gallery in Pearland!

Join us on Thursday, May 26 at 11:15 a.m. for a ribbon cutting with the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Tom Reid.

Art & Kustom Kreations is a teaching studio and boutique gallery offering summer art camps and year-round art lessons for all ages, customized to meet the needs of the budding artist.

Our flexible lesson schedules allow for a variety options to fit busy lifestyles.

A variety of workshops and classes geared toward specific media will be added to the schedule including: Drawing, oil painting, watercolor, charcoal and pastels.

Saturday morning make-and-take classes for children are coming soon and mobile painting options are always available. Onsite options are flexible for private painting events, such as “Paint & Sip” for adults and birthday parties for children.

Pearland Medical Center supports local artists

Pearland Medical Center, an HCA affiliated hospital, is excited to partner with the Pearland Arts League to display original artwork from local residents.
On Friday, November 13th, Matt Dixon, CEO of Pearland Medical Center, welcomed the Pearland Arts League and local artists during an opening reception to celebrate the launch of the exhibit.

The public is invited to view the exhibit when visiting the hospital, located at 11100 Shadow Creek Parkway. The artwork is on display in the front lobby of the Pearland Medical Center and is available to purchase through the Pearland Arts League.

The Pearland Arts League is a nonprofit organization to support the visual and performing arts in the Pearland community.

 

Fusion of the Arts September 19

Pearland Alliance for Arts & Culture (PAA&C) and the Pearland Arts League (PAL) have joined forces for the “Fusion of the Arts” event slated for Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the PAA&C office located at 2341 N. Galveston Street in Pearland. Visitors are invited to experience two arts forms in one event celebrating the wonderful talent in the Pearland community.

PAL presents its 5th Annual Juried Art Exhibition with Dennis LaValley, Art Department Chair of Alvin Community College as Juror. PAA&C showcases best-selling author and Pearland resident, Colonel Robert Sholly, USA (Ret.) lecturing on the art of writing. His book, “Young Soldiers, Amazing Warriors” is a #1 best seller on Amazon.  Colonel Sholly’s lecture will take place next door to the PAA&C office at the CJ Nelson Auditorium.
