Krispy Kreme releases new Reese’s Lovers peanut butter-filled doughnuts

 – Peanut butter lovers, doughnut lovers and chocolate lovers, unite! Krispy Kreme and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are joining forces for a sweet treat.

For a limited time, Krispy Kreme is offering two new doughnuts for chocolate lovers and peanut butter lovers alike. There is the Reese’s Original Filled Chocolate Lovers Doughnut, which is a chocolate-dipped chocolate doughnut filled with Reese’s Peanut Butter Kreme.

Is Italian grocery and eatery Eataly cooking up a Dallas entry?

Eataly, a hybrid grocery and restaurant concept created in Italy in 2007 and now in 37 locations around the world, appears to have taken a formal step into Texas.

Eataly Dallas LLC was created in Delaware last month, a move first reported by D Magazine. Eataly has only six stores in the U.S. in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and most recently Las Vegas.

McDonald’s Happy Meals Now Come With Roald Dahl Books Instead of Toys in New Zealand

What’s next for H-E-B and Central Market in Dallas?

1af89ba060f3f95728a26e7ba6a1f547H-E-B’s Central Market division has more plans for new stores in Dallas. With the opening Wednesday at Midway Road and Northwest Highway of its third Central Market in the city limits, other projects in the pipeline will start to move ahead, the company said.

Oak Cliff and Uptown Central Markets continue to be in the works, but without firm timelines.

And don’t give up on H-E-B supermarkets arriving in Dallas-Fort Worth.

North Texas restaurant ranks No. 2 on Yelp’s Best Places to Eat

 – A North Texas barbecue restaurant was named the second best place to eat in the country, thanks to Yelp users.

9 Taco Cabanas in Texas have closed

1545338340-Irwin-Thompson-_1491965392The parent company for Taco Cabana announced that it has closed nine restaurants in Texas, with five of those in Dallas-Fort Worth.

In addition, parent company Fiesta Restaurant Group closed all the Pollo Tropicals in Atlanta and several others in Florida. Dallas-Fort Worth was not affected, because the remaining 13 Pollo Tropicals in North Texas closed in 2017.

The company says it’s completing a “strategic renewal plan” for Taco Cabana and Pollo Tropical.
